ABOUT ME
I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for education, writing, reading, food, and travel; as well as helping people, animals, and the environment. I have a years-long history of working in education and communications fields, and I am interested in opportunities that allow me to help make the world a better place for all.
I am also a proud member of the Leadership for Five Seasons Class of 2024! Leadership for Five Seasons (LFS) is a premier community leadership program in the Cedar Rapids metro. LFS empowers participants with a comprehensive understanding of our community’s challenges and opportunities, while also providing broader knowledge of our region and the role future leaders can play as engaged citizens.
My higher education degrees are in English, writing, and teaching, so I’ve always been a reader, writer, communicator, and educator. I love taking complex text and information and making it more concise and clear. I’m also a grammar nerd, and I love editing, especially using brightly colored pens.
